Isn't it easier to just get the "technique Bible" (Jo Jo's DVD) _first_, watch/learn from it, and _then_ ask questions if there are any which haven't been covered on that DVD?

Now if you watch "some" You Tube clips which aren't going into depth, chances are that you will have some questions or issues understanding what is really going on technically.

She is receiving mixed messages: “He seems to like me, he seems to enjoy my company, but he didn’t ask me out. ” Or when you invite a girl to a group activity: on one hand, you’re asking her out, but on the other it doesn’t feel like a date, so she doesn’t know where she stands.

Conversationally, it’s often good to keep this dynamic going.

I think it doesn't take many tutorials to get you really started with technique. the 1st one has a superb section on hands/sticking/hybrid rudiments - including slo-mo)...

to play slow or moderately fast, use your fulcrum, when you want warp speed bring your fingers into play.

Fulcrum for single strokes or double strokes and fingers give you mulitipe strokes (2 or more bounces).

I think people misunderstand the technique I'm describing. v=0bx D4x3Sv3k it's speeds like onwards in this video using the technique shown in the video - I'm not sure if he's generating the down (or 'push') stroke with his thumb pushing the stick down, or his wrist pushing it down at the highest speeds.

At the highest speeds it may well be thumb pushes the sticks down (push), fingers snap it back up (pull) - and there is minimal wrist involvement...
