Select a biblical subject and trace it through a single book.

Think of what might be the central truth of the chapter, along with the key verses.

Divide the chapter into its natural sections and find headings for them that describe their contents.

Write down the leading facts of the chapter in their proper order.

If He’s promised something, you can rest assured He will fulfill that promise. You know sometimes it’s really hard to believe what You’ve said when I don’t yet see it. Help me trust what You’ve said is Truth, and it will come about just like You’ve said. Job 42:2, “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” (ESV) Isaiah -11, “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” (ESV) Today’s devotion was written by Jazmin Frank, a member of COMPEL — a membership site for those who want to write words that move people. What has God said that you are having trouble believing?

It might not happen how or when we expect, but God is faithful. Registration only opens a few times a year, but for the next 24 hours, we're holding a pop-up registration for COMPEL membership! Write it down, and take a moment to bring it to the Lord, and ask Him to help you trust Him.
